TEA places orders for millions of PPE to be distributed to schools and universities in the state

With the daily count of COVID 19 cases on a surge, schools and universities around Texas are expected to see a big jump in the usage of personal protective wear on their campuses.

The news broke out when Texas education agency placed a massive order for personal protective equipment that will be distributed to various schools and universities in the districts over the next few months.

Speaking of the order, it enlists:

-              10 million gloves

-              40, 000 no-contact thermometers

-              50 million disposable masks

-          Disposable protective clothing Houston

 

The agency has further stated to have also placed an order for antibacterial hand sanitizer USA.The districts will also receive certain other protective equipment like np-320 negative pressure isolator Houston. Now, this is where we can say that the state and the country are all set to counter the upcoming rise in the number of COVID 19 cases in the country., medical safety goggles online and plans are in place to get some more desk dividers, reusable masks, and face shields in use.



As per the statement released by the agency, the districts would receive these personal protective gear and covid 19 testing kit USA depending on the number of students and staff present in the previous year. While TEA has already placed the order, it's up to the districts to decide that what number they are supposed to distribute to every school and university around. Getting along with the same process, districts will have to fill up a detailed survey of questions that will then need to be submitted back to the agency.


The big surge in the daily number of COVID 19 cases in Texas

If we talk about the total number of confirmed cases in the state, Texas is currently sitting at more than 200k confirmed cases. Moreover, almost 3.5k new cases have been reported in the state within the past 24 hours with 29 casualties.

If we look down the major contributors to the same numbers, the Harris country is sitting on top with more than 36 cases up until now. The nearest to it is Dallas county which has reported around 30 k cases within the same period of time.

Talking about the bigger picture, the USA stands as the biggest victim of this pandemic situation amongst all the countries across the globe. Up until now, there have been around 2.93 million cases with 132k deaths in the process

There have been more than 43k fresh cases reported around the country in the past 24 hours with 212 deaths in the process.


The brighter side

There is a big jump in the total number of recovered patients and the figures currently stand at 879k. Hence we can say that there is still a bit of hope left at the end of the tunnel for the country and the world around.
